Lady In Charge Links of the Week

Wish you were here while reading Links of the Week? Me too!

This week, I am ready to embrace summer, especially since it looks like January outside right now in Vancouver!  I would love to be reading these links on a hot beach with a cool drink but for now, I will suffice by painting my toes a bright coral red (Essie’s “e-nuf is e-nuf” if you were wondering) and waiting for the sun to arrive!

Designer Rachel Roy always looks effortlessly chic (seriously follow her on Instagram and you’ll know what I mean), so of course she has mastered the menswear inspired looks that are so hot this summer.

Thinking about a summer wedding next year? Or maybe doing some last-minute planning for this summer?  Our friends at Style Republic have recently launched their Bridal guide where they have gathered loads of great resources, tips and advice all in one place to help you plan for your big day!

You may never have heard of Dagmara Dominczyk the actress, but she is definitely creating a buzz as an author and one half of the modern-day version of the Gabor sisters.  Her new book The Lullaby of Polish Girls sounds like the perfect beach read – gossipy, girly and full of references to her own life growing up as a daughter of immigrants to become a Hollywood actress married to a handsome American actor (Patrick Wilson of “Girls” fame).

Ever wonder how the Brangelina clan spends their summers?  Wonder no more after this hilarious article from Glamour magazine.  Speaking of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, if you are thinking of picking a nice light wine for your next summer gathering, the foodies at Zagat share their thoughts on Brangelina’s debut wine, Miraval Rosé .

Viral video of the week has to go to Russell Brand’s interview at MSN Morning Joe.  A disaster from the start, but the fun really begins about 5 minutes into the video.  I have to say I was surprised by Russell’s restraint and politeness in the face of the “journalists” trying to interview him and failing miserably at it.  He is truly a proper Englishman!
